Community conversation a success!

NPCAN hosted the second of a two-part community conversation on healthcare on Jan. 21 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague. More than 75 people attended “What’s Next: The Future of Healthcare Policy,” featuring panelists Mary Klimp, Rep. David Bly, Rep. Clark Johnson and Sen. Rich Draheim.

The panelists answered questions about healthcare policy, healthcare legislation and what they felt were the biggest challenges facing healthcare today. The debate was lively and respectful — and could have lasted at least another hour.

A big thanks to Betsy Lasch and Paulette Cervenka, who worked tirelessly to organize the event and also served as moderators. Also thanks to Deb Pexa for keep the event details on track, and to the many NPCAN members who volunteered and helped us pull off the event without a hitch. (Well, except that last-minute time change courtesy of the Vikings.)

Here are some pictures from the afternoon, courtesy of Dave Taylor. Stay tuned for details on our next community conversation. If you have an idea for future conversation topics, email info@npcan.org.
